At Lakeland Language Centre, in partnership with Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), we offer a 2-year programme leading to a QQI Level 6 University Diploma. This qualification is officially accredited in Ireland and widely recognised across Europe and beyond, providing students with a strong academic foundation and practical skills to progress in their professional careers or continue to higher education.
Students will join the vibrant TUS community in Athlone, attending classes taught by experienced lecturers in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment. The programme combines academic excellence with real-world application, ensuring graduates are ready for the demands of today’s global job market.

Outside of class, participants can choose between host family accommodation for a warm, home-like environment, or student residence for a more independent lifestyle.
Both options are carefully selected to provide safety, comfort, and the opportunity to practise English every day.
Throughout the programme, Lakeland Language Centre offers ongoing support, including academic guidance, pastoral care, and integration into the local community. Students will also have access to cultural activities, networking events, and social opportunities to maximise their experience.
