English Language Teacher

Part-Time ESL Teachers for January 2025

Looking for flexible ESL teachers who can teach in one of our three centres in Tullamore, Athlone or Mullingar on an as-needed basis with varying hours based on student enrolment—providing a flexible schedule.


Position Details:

Teaching General English to visiting teenagers on mini-stays and General English Adult Classes

Have enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for teaching while cultivating a welcoming environment for teenagers.
Flexibility within work hours
Utilising Lakeland resources and materials effectively, supplementing them as per learners’ requirements
Willingness to commute to our other centres if needed.
Certification in CELTA/TESOL or TEFL is required .
Opportunities to teach Cambridge Exam classes. (5pm-8pm)


Preferred(not mandatory):

Prior experience in ESOL/EFL teaching.
Driving License
Please note: This position cannot guarantee regular weekly working hours and would suit someone who values flexibility in their schedule.

Activity Leader

Job Title: Activity Leader

Location: Flexible, based on program needs

Type: Temporary, hourly basis (perfect for students or those seeking flexible work)

Responsible For:
Bringing energy and enthusiasm to our Activities Programme, creating culturally enriching experiences for students, supervising them outside of class, and ensuring their health, safety, and discipline at all times.

Reporting To:
Activity Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
Attend mandatory training sessions to understand the role and prepare for activities.
Welcome students upon arrival, assist with check-ins, provide site orientation, and organize initial entertainment as directed.
Conduct roll calls and ensure student attendance at scheduled activities.
Develop and prepare engaging game plans for in-school.
Lead activities and excursions, ensuring students have a fun and positive experience.
Provide enthusiastic encouragement for student participation in all activities, acting as a role model.
Maintain attendance records and report non-attendance or disciplinary issues.
Help with airport transfers as needed, providing a smooth and welcoming experience for arriving and departing students.
Assist the Activity Coordinator with administrative tasks, evaluations, and liaising with the academic team.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Criteria:
Experience working with teenagers, particularly in activity programs or camps.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Garda Vetting Certification.
High energy, excellent organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
Team player with strong time management skills.
Availability for work in July 2025 and potentially at other times as needed.


Optional but Highly Valued:
A valid driving license is highly important for assisting with airport transfers and other logistical needs.

Previous experience leading cultural or language-focused excursions.

Salary:
Hourly rate dependent on experience.
